The Leprechaun must have struck, because I am back!!!

Hi friends, I am back! Sorry I have been MIA for the past two months. Between moving to Colorado, finding a house/getting moved in, work and life, I was just in a blogging rut. But now I am back and I have some fun things planned in our future! I have planned out our races for the year, and might ad some more (but more on that tomorrow) Today, I want to share our fun Saturday!

We saw a commercial last week for the St. Patrick's day goings on in Colorado Springs, and Friday we decided to sign up for The 5k on St. Pats Day. The race was Saturday morning and over 2500 people registered, that's a good amount! We had a lot of fun on the run. It was the first time that I have run outside here so I was nervous because everyone says it is so hard to breath here. Well, I knocked two minutes of my last 5k time, so I was happy with it!

After the race we hit Lululemon because we had about an hour before the parade started. Let me tell you, I think I have found a new love! There clothes are so comfy both in and out of the gym (I put my new outfit to the test in a workout yesterday, good stuff). The only draw back is that Lululemon is a bit on the pricey side, but as a treat to ourselves we each got a new outfit, plus anything green was 20% off (yes, that little green in the band on my capris made them count for the sale)!

I have browsed their website a million times and never purchased, but I am excited that I picked some up. I cannot wait to add to my ever growing workout clothes collection... I mean work clothes (lets be real, I work from home so gym clothes and work clothes are one in the same). And am excited to add a bit more Lululemon to that collection.

After that, we stepped outside just as the parade started. I am used to the St. Patrick's Parade in NYC as there is where I grew up and that is probably the biggest St. Patty's parade there is, but it was nice to have a parade to watch. It was a lot of fun with lots of groups, from bagpipes and Irish step dancers, to local high school marching bands, dog rescues and 4-H clubs. We had so much fun and I cannot wait to do it all again next year!

Since Saturday was so busy, Sunday consisted of a morning workout, breakfast, some errands, laundry and lots of relaxing. We also caught the new show Crisis on NBC last night. We are now fans and I cannot wait to see what happens next week!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend? Anyone else do anything fun? Happy St. Patrick's day to all my Irish friends and family out there, and even if you aren't Irish :)

  1. It's nice to have you back! Colorado is one of my favorite places to visit. My husband and I usually go there each summer to hike and enjoy the mountains. My dear friend will be moving to Colorado Springs in a few years when she retires.

Like you, I love Lululemon workout wear but I don't have very many pieces due to the price. I have been able to find some good deals in their clearance section which always makes me happy.

Your St Patrick Day 5K looked like it was fun! I ran one as well and made a kilt to wear to be festive!
