Races for the Year!

When I woke up Sunday morning I was in the mood to workout and was also excited to plan races, since we had just finished our first of the year Saturday.  I was excited to workout in my new Lululemon goodies, which was great. But, I was up an hour and a half before Andy, so I did some race planning before we hit the gym.

I found out that The 5k on St. Pat's Day was actually the first race in a series called the Colorado Springs Grand Prix of Running. There are six races that you have to complete to finish the series. Well, one down, five more to go!

We are going to do the long series, which includes a 5k, a 5 miler, three 10ks and a 10 miler. O goodness, what am I getting myself into? There is also a short series which is five 5ks and a 10k, but I want to push myself. So, long series here we come. Now, on to training for me so I don't make a fool of myself haha.

There are also some races not part of the series that I want to do. So far we have 16 races for the year, including two possible half marathons!!! If all goes well, maybe there will be a marathon in 2015?!?! Here's for hoping!

And now I leave you with something to make you laugh/smile. My little subdivision made Buzzfeed. You see, we had a very bad dust/wind storm all day yesterday which resulted in my neighborhood being covered in tumbleweeds. Take a look, the picture second from the bottom, that is my next door neighbor's house, the guy must have been standing in my yard to take the picture.

Have a great day!
